Condition

Our condition grades (NM, LP, etc.) are based on proprietary raw card grading standards with an emphasis on overall eye appeal. Each card is evaluated individually, and minor variance within a grade range should be expected.

High-resolution scans and videos are always the primary reference for condition and should be reviewed carefully prior to purchase.

All condition assessments are opinions based on our internal grading criteria. While our standards are in line with and often exceed typical marketplace guidelines, we do not guarantee how a card may grade with third-party grading companies such as PSA, Beckett, or CGC. Buyers are encouraged to use their own judgment when evaluating each listing.

Windfall Condition Guide

NEAR MINT (NM+/-)

Minor flaws may be present, but overall appearance remains close to pack fresh. Very light holofoil scratches or small specks/slivers of whitening or silvering may exist. Front and back surface retain majority of original finish but may have slight impressions. Edges and corners remain sharp but may have extremely minor imperfections such as tiny nicks, dings, or lips. No creases or significant structural damage.

LIGHTLY PLAYED (LP+/-)

Strong overall eye appeal, but scratches, whitening, and edgewear may be more noticeable, larger, or more numerous than Near Mint. Surface, edges, and corners may show have several nicks, dings, or light dents. May exhibit very light surface impressions or subtle surface irregularities. No creases or significant structural damage.

MODERATELY PLAYED (+)

Obvious signs of wear. Scratches and indentations may be deeper or more numerous. May begin to exhibit scratch clouding on the holofoil. Moderate edgewear on corners/edges may begin to soften with light fraying. Surface may include multiple impressions, small dents, or a few stress marks or minor creases. Edges may be dented. Corners may be lipped and/or slightly bent.

HEAVILY PLAYED

Significant wear throughout. Scratches, surface wear, and edgewear are obvious and affect eye appeal. May exhibit moderate to major edgewear on multiple edges and corners. May exhibit multiple dents, larger creases, or multiple smaller creases.

DAMAGED

Extensive wear affecting structural integrity. May include heavy scratching and scuffing, major edgewear, large creases, stains, peeling, water/sun/humidity damage, or other significant flaws affecting eye appeal.
